ASNET is seeking a highly experienced professional to spearhead Sectoral Trade Facilitation, Policy Analysis, and Advocacy—driving ease of doing business and promoting an enabling environment for our members in the agriculture sector.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead timely policy analysis, advocacy interventions, and Public–Private Dialogues in close consultation with BMOs and ASNET members.
• Facilitate trade at local, regional, and global levels in collaboration with BMOs and members.
• Conduct research on trade, analyse impacts, and disseminate findings to relevant stakeholders.
• Coordinate trade facilitation initiatives with public sector agencies, BMOs, partners, and other stakeholders.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Agriculture Economics, Agribusiness, Business Administration, Law (with agriculture bias), or related field.
• Strong research, writing, and communication skills.
• Ability to engage senior government officials and demonstrate knowledge of national and county mandates in Agriculture and Trade.
• Strong teamwork, ability to work with minimal supervision, and experience with diverse agriculture sector actors.
• Private sector experience is an added advantage.
